VFW Post # 6247 has a lot to offer. A friendly club room with pool tables, bar and music is open everyday (including holidays).

 Monday thru Friday 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
              Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 11:00
Sunday 12:00 p.m. - until 
 
Plus, there is a steady calendar of events and activities designed to serve veterans, their friends and families.

The Best Independence Day Celebrations in Charlotte!
 
Hamburgers and hot dogs on checkered tablecloth-covered picnic tables, patriotic music, the 2nd best fireworks display in Charlotte and, best of all, real veterans to hug, kiss or steal a dance.

2018 Auxilliary Officers

The Auxiliary at the Post is quite active, behind the scenes. Members strive to bring a positive quality of life to the men and women who have served our country through a wide assortment of endeavors and activities.
 
The auxiliary is open to both men and women who have or have had a veteran in their family. 
 
Eligibility Requirements for VFW and VFW Auxiliary Membership:

VFW 
Those eligible for membership in the VFW are those that have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. 
Proof of service is required for eligibility and must be obtained by the applicant

VFW Auxiliary

Members must be citizens of the United States or a United States National, and at least 16 years old.

Those eligible are:
  • Husband
  • Wife
  • Widower
  • Widow
  • Father
  • Mother
  • Grandfathers
  • Grandmothers
  • Sons
  • Daughters
  • Grandsons
  • Granddaughters
  • Brothers
  • Sisters
of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
